Doña Ana Fire Rescue crews evacuated occupants from a single-wide mobile home on Saltbush Drive before extinguishing the Saturday afternoon fire.

ANTHONY - One person was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire damaged a single-wide mobile home Saturday afternoon in Anthony, according to Doña Ana County officials.

Doña Ana Fire Rescue crews responded shortly after 3:15 p.m. Saturday to the 160 block of Saltbush Drive after receiving reports of a possible house fire.

Crews arrived to find the mobile home on fire and worked to ensure all occupants evacuated safely before extinguishing the flames. Firefighters remained at the scene to monitor hotspots.

Emergency responders treated one person for smoke inhalation at the scene. That person declined transportation to a medical facility, according to the county.

The American Red Cross was called to assist the displaced family.

Officials said investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.
