City bus shelter art program expands to 12 locations across the city

Organ Mountain News report

LAS CRUCES - The City of Las Cruces Quality of Life Department and the City Art Board, in partnership with Roadrunner Transit, will host an Art Stop 2026 artist reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12 at Amador Live, 302 S. Main St.

Art Stop is a public art program that places artwork along city bus routes. Artists submitted pieces through a call for artists, and a jury selected the works for display.

This year’s exhibit expands the program from six bus shelters to 12 locations across Las Cruces after Roadrunner Transit installed additional shelters with poster frames.

The selected artworks will remain on display for about 12 months.
