LAS CRUCES - Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Steinborn & Associates has expanded its presence in southern New Mexico by merging with TRU South Real Estate. The expansion adds offices in Ruidoso and Alamogordo, increasing the firm’s footprint to four locations with 125 brokers. The combined company will operate under the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Steinborn & Associates brand.

Steinborn & Associates was founded in 1968 by David Steinborn and is now led by Amy and John Hummer and Zane and Kayla Fikany. TRU South Real Estate founder Bob Moroney will remain with the firm in a sales capacity.

“This expansion is a natural step in our long-term vision to grow our presence in southern New Mexico while staying true to the values that define us,” said Amy Hummer, broker/co-owner and president of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Steinborn & Associates.

The move strengthens the firm’s presence in key regional markets, including Ruidoso’s luxury and second-home sector and Alamogordo’s military relocation services.

“This partnership enhances our ability to serve customers across a broader region with expanded expertise,” said Zane Fikany, broker/co-owner of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Steinborn & Associates. “Both Ruidoso and Alamogordo offer unique market opportunities, and by joining forces with Bob and his team, we are better positioned to provide service, resources and marketing power to buyers and sellers.”

Moroney said the merger brings together experienced brokers with local market knowledge and access to additional resources.

“Steinborn & Associates has a reputation for fostering success, and our team is excited to be part of a firm that values collaboration and professional growth,” Moroney said. “This move equips our brokers with advanced tools, marketing platforms and professional development to better serve customers and expand their businesses.”

Brokers joining from TRU South Real Estate will have access to Be Better University, a professional development platform, and Distinctive Collection by Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, the brand’s luxury marketing program.
