Organ Mountain News report

LAS CRUCES - Branigan Cultural Center is calling on Las Cruces high school students to show off their creativity in the 2026 All-City High School Art Show — now open for submissions.

The juried exhibition is open to all juniors and seniors attending public, private or charter schools in Las Cruces, along with homeschooled students who live in the city. Students don’t have to be enrolled in an art class to enter.

The show runs March 6 through April 18, 2026, at Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main St. A limited number of pieces will be selected for display, and winners will earn Best in Show, first-place and second-place awards with cash prizes in four categories.

Each student may submit one original artwork — anything from painting or ceramics to photography, digital art or mixed media — created while in high school. Entries must be original, free of copyright violations and cannot include AI-generated components. Accepted artists will also be invited to a free framing workshop hosted by the Las Cruces Museums to prepare their pieces for exhibition.

Submissions opened Nov. 10, 2025, and will close Jan. 23, 2026, at 6 p.m. Mountain Time. Students can apply through an online form on the Las Cruces Museums website. Applications must include contact information, details about the artwork, and three to five photos of the piece, plus certification from a parent, guardian or teacher.

For questions, email exhibit curator Analisa Torres at antorres@lascruces.gov or call 575-541-2221 or TTY 711. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is free.
