Doña Ana County offices will delay opening Tuesday due to weather, while the county commission meeting remains on schedule

Organ Mountain News report

LAS CRUCES - Doña Ana County administrative offices will open with a two-hour delay Tuesday due to inclement weather, county officials said.

Offices will resume normal operations at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27.

The Doña Ana County Board of County Commissioners meeting will proceed as scheduled and begin at 9 a.m. The delayed office opening will not affect the meeting.

County officials said the two-hour delay, similar to schedules adopted by area school districts, is intended to allow additional time for road conditions to improve and for walkways and building entrances to be cleared of any overnight ice.

Emergency services and law enforcement operations will not be affected by the delayed opening.

Updates will be posted at donaana.gov and on Doña Ana County Government social media channels.
