The trauma-informed breathwork and acupuncture event will raise funds for grassroots health projects in Latin America.

LAS CRUCES - Crossroads Acupuncture will host a trauma-informed breathwork and acupuncture fundraiser Friday evening in Las Cruces.

The event is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 19, at Crossroads Acupuncture, 1100 S. Main St.

The fundraiser will include guided meditation, trauma-informed breathwork, somatic release, acupuncture-supported integration and deep rest. Participants are encouraged to bring warm clothes, an eye mask and a blanket, and to attend on an empty stomach.

The suggested donation is $50 or more.

Proceeds will support Crossroads Acupuncture’s grassroots barefoot health projects in Latin America, including work with trauma survivors and community health promoters.

Ryan Bemis, a doctor of Oriental medicine and founder of Crossroads Acupuncture, said the events are part of an effort to make practical healing tools more accessible in communities affected by historical trauma, displacement and limited access to care.
