Financial Aid office aims to help underprivileged children take part in holiday tradition

LAS CRUCES - Doña Ana Community College is continuing its annual effort to make Halloween brighter for children in Chaparral.

DACC’s Financial Aid office is collecting new and gently used costumes for the 3rd annual Halloween Costume Drive, benefiting students at Chaparral Elementary School. The drive ensures that children from families facing financial hardship have the chance to take part in holiday festivities.

Costume donations can be dropped off at any DACC Financial Aid office, including:

  • East Mesa campus, 2800 Sonoma Ranch Blvd.
  • Gadsden Center, 1700 E. O’Hara Road in Anthony
  • Sunland Park Center, 3365 McNutt Road in Sunland Park
  • Espina campus, 3400 S. Espina St.

The deadline to donate is Friday, Oct. 22, at 5 p.m.
