Pullin, who previously served as dean of Academic Initiatives at Queensborough Community College, began at Doña Ana Community College on July 1.

LAS CRUCES - Doña Ana Community College has appointed Michael Pullin as its new vice president of Academic Affairs.

Pullin comes to DACC from Queensborough Community College in Bayside, New York, where he served as dean of Academic Initiatives. He previously served as associate dean of Science and Wellness at Broward College in Florida and spent 10 years at New Mexico Tech in Socorro as a faculty member and department head.

Pullin has a background in STEM. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Case Western Reserve University in 1992 and a master’s degree and doctorate in analytical chemistry from Kent State University in 1995 and 1999, respectively.

“He brings deep academic background and broad administrative experience to the position,” DACC Chancellor Mónica Torres said. “His experience includes research, teaching, grant writing, public education outreach, STEM programming, early college high school, curriculum development, and administration.”

Pullin began at the college July 1. As vice president of Academic Affairs, he will be responsible for the academic operations of the college.
