Events in Anthony, Sunland Park and Las Cruces will highlight free AVANZA services, campus resources and community partners

LAS CRUCES - Doña Ana Community College will host a series of open houses and community resource fairs beginning Thursday, offering residents opportunities to learn about free college services and connect with community organizations.

The first event is an AVANZA Program open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at DACC’s Gadsden Center, 1400 E. O’Hara Road in Anthony.

The college said the open houses will highlight free services available through AVANZA. Thursday’s event will also include free cupcakes and promotional items.

Additional AVANZA open houses are scheduled through October.

Community resource fairs also planned

DACC will also host two community resource fairs designed to showcase its campuses and connect students and residents with local organizations.

The fairs will include free food, activities, music, promotional items and community partners.
