LAS CRUCES - Doña Ana Community College will host a free workshop later this month for people interested in applying for technician jobs connected to Project Jupiter in Santa Teresa.

The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12 at the DACC Workforce Center, 2345 E. Nevada Avenue.

The workshop will focus on upcoming openings for apprentice critical operations technician positions tied to are tied to Project Jupiter, a large data center development planned for Santa Teresa.

Starting pay for the positions is listed at $27.33 per hour.

According to DACC, staff from the Workforce Center will walk attendees through the application process and offer guidance on preparing stronger applications and interviews.

The positions include paid training and do not require prior experience. Applicants must have a high school diploma and should be mechanically inclined.

Project Jupiter has also drawn attention for its broader community impact, including recent donations to a local nonprofits.

The workshop is free and open to the public.
