LAS CRUCES - Doña Ana County residents can now inspect voted ballot images and Cast Vote Records from the county’s most recent local election through a new online transparency platform launched by the County Clerk’s Office.

The Ballot Verifier portal, available at electionstats.donaana.gov, includes ballot images and Cast Vote Records from the Nov. 4, 2025, Regular Local Election. The platform allows users to explore precinct-level results, filter data by office and election type, review visualizations and download election data without submitting a public records request.

The County Clerk’s Office developed the portal with Civera, a civic technology company whose ElectionStats platform is also used by the New Mexico Secretary of State’s Office.

“Our office has always prioritized the security, accuracy, and transparency of elections. The launch of Ballot Verifier represents another major step forward for accessibility and public trust,” Doña Ana County Clerk Amanda López Askin said in a statement. “Whether you are a voter, a researcher, a student, or a member of the media, you can now browse the exact ballot images and Cast Vote Records from our most recent election from anywhere with an internet connection.”

The portal is separate from the county’s election management system, according to the Clerk’s Office. The county expects to post results from future elections to the platform within weeks after final certification.

Adam Friedman, CEO of Civera, said the portal is intended to make election records more accessible amid public mistrust of election administration.

“A lot of the conspiracy theories, toxic rhetoric, and mistrust around elections in America goes hand-in-hand with people not being able to see enough and perceiving voting as being a black box experience,” Friedman said in a statement. “Ballot Verifier is a way to turn a black box into a glass box.”

The Clerk’s Office also said Doña Ana County will become the first county in the nation to implement a Spanish-language round-by-round results display for ranked-choice voting. The county plans to make that tool available for the next Regular Local Election in 2027, along with bilingual educational resources.

The county said immediate public access to ballot images and Cast Vote Records should reduce the need for formal records requests, free staff time and provide voters, students, researchers and journalists with structured access to election information.

Residents can explore the portal at electionstats.donaana.gov. For additional information, contact the Doña Ana County Clerk’s Office at 575-647-7420 or elections@donaana.gov.
