LAS CRUCES - Doña Ana Fire Rescue will host a series of virtual community Q&A sessions next week as part of its search for a new Fire Chief.

Each finalist will deliver a presentation — up to 45 minutes — outlining their vision for the department’s role in the community and their plans for engagement and collaboration.

After each presentation, residents can submit questions in the YouTube livestream chat. A moderator will read questions aloud as time allows.

“This is an exciting time for Doña Ana Fire Rescue,” Interim Fire Chief Andrew Bowen said. “Hearing from the finalists offers our residents a glimpse into the future of the department. We look forward to welcoming a leader who will continue strengthening our commitment to serve the people of Doña Ana County.”

Presentation schedule

Community members are encouraged to join, listen and share feedback as the county selects its next Fire Chief.

Doña Ana Fire Rescue serves nearly 3,800 square miles and provides fire suppression, emergency medical services and fire prevention through a mix of career and volunteer stations.
