Doña Ana County commissioners terminate Manager Scott Andrews’ contract

LAS CRUCES - The Doña Ana County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted Tuesday afternoon to terminate County Manager Scott Andrews’ employment contract, effective immediately. Andrews has served in the role since October 2024.

The vote came during a special meeting of the commission.

Andrews was terminated without cause and will receive six months of salary under the terms of his employment contract and a signed separation agreement, according to a county news release.

Commissioners will now begin determining the next steps for county leadership. The county said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
