LAS CRUCES - A trauma-informed breathwork and acupuncture fundraiser is planned for Sunday, July 19, at Dwell Yoga in Las Cruces.

The event, hosted by Crossroads Acupuncture, is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Dwell Yoga, 424 N. Main St.

The workshop will include guided meditation, trauma-informed breathwork, somatic release, acupuncture-supported integration and deep rest. Organizers describe the event as a way for participants to pause, release stress and reconnect with resilience.

Participants are encouraged to bring warm clothes, an eye mask and a blanket, and to attend on an empty stomach.

The suggested donation is $50 or more.

Proceeds will support Crossroads Acupuncture’s grassroots barefoot health projects in Latin America. The nonprofit said the projects support community health promoters and trauma survivors with accessible, body-based healing tools.

Ryan Bemis, a doctor of Oriental medicine and founder of Crossroads Acupuncture, said the events are part of a local-to-global effort to make practical healing tools more accessible in communities affected by historical trauma, displacement and limited access to care.
