FBI offers reward for information on suspect in Las Cruces bank robbery

LAS CRUCES - The FBI and Las Cruces Police Department are seeking the public’s help in locating Daniel Guereca, who is wanted in connection to a bank robbery that occurred in Las Cruces last month.
The robbery happened around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 at the PNC Bank at 3800 E. Lohman Ave. Authorities say the suspect entered the bank and demanded money from a teller, who handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to Guereca’s arrest and conviction.
Guereca is described as Hispanic, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build and weighing about 185 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was reportedly wearing a green hat, a black Adidas jacket with white stripes down the sleeves, glasses and a surgical mask.

Bank robbery is a federal offense that can carry a sentence of up to 20 years in prison. If a weapon, replica or hoax device is used during the crime, the penalty can increase to up to 25 years.
