Firefighters close part of Telshor after gas line punctured near Foothills

Las Cruces firefighters temporarily closed South Telshor Boulevard on Monday after a punctured gas line caused a leak near Foothills Road. No injuries were reported.

Businesses briefly sheltered in place as utility crews made repairs; no injuries reported

LAS CRUCES - Firefighters closed part of South Telshor Boulevard late Monday morning after a gas line was punctured near Foothills Road.

According to Las Cruces Fire Department officials, the first arriving crew found gas leaking from the damaged line. Firefighters stopped traffic on Telshor and provided suppression support while Las Cruces Utilities crews made repairs.

Nearby businesses sheltered in place as a precaution. No injuries were reported.
