Centennial and Organ Mountain renew their friendly rivalry under the lights Friday, with BBQ contest winners set to be announced at halftime

Organ Mountain News report

LAS CRUCES - Centennial and Organ Mountain will face off Friday under the lights at the Field of Dreams, continuing a friendly cross-town football rivalry.

Centennial is the home team this year, with fans asked to park on the west side of the stadium and use the west gates. Organ Mountain fans will use the east parking lot and gates. All gates open at 5:30 p.m., and kickoff is scheduled for 7:00.

Halftime will feature the announcement of winners from the second annual Grill & Thrill BBQ Competition, hosted by LCPS FFA and FCCLA students. The contest will take place earlier that afternoon at the Field of Dreams baseball complex from 4 to 7 p.m.

District officials remind fans that the LCPS clear-bag policy will be enforced and that no outside food or drinks are allowed inside the stadium. Guests may bring one unopened bottle of water, and concessions will be available.

All ticketing at the Field of Dreams is digital, with no cash sales at the gate. Fans are encouraged to buy tickets in advance on the LCPS Athletics page, where QR codes for each school are listed.

Those planning to attend multiple games can consider the Annual Pass, which provides up to 125 game entries for the cost of 26 single tickets for adults or 18 for students. Details are available on the district’s athletics site.
