Families & Youth Innovations Plus will host a free Back 2 School Block Party and Backpack Giveaway on Saturday, June 21, from 9 a.m. to noon at its new Family Success Center on East Amador in Las Cruces.

Family Success Center event will feature food, activities and resources for Las Cruces families

LAS CRUCES - Families & Youth Innovations Plus (FYI+) will host a free Back 2 School Block Party and Backpack Giveaway this Saturday, June 21, from 9 a.m. to noon at its new Family Success Center, located at 715 E. Amador Ave. — the former Gamboa’s Casa de Autos lot.

The event is open to the public and will include free backpacks for school-age children, food, family activities and a resource fair. Backpacks and food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

FYI+ staff say the event is part of their ongoing commitment to helping families in the community prepare for the school year and connect with available support services.
