The one-hour closure is expected to begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday and will affect Nike Avenue, but not San Augustin Pass or the Las Cruces Gate.

LAS CRUCES - White Sands Missile Range has scheduled a roadblock on U.S. 70 for Thursday morning, May 14.

The roadblock is expected to begin at 9:30 a.m. and last about one hour. Officials expect to lift the closure by 10:30 a.m.

The closure will affect U.S. 70 at the Blue Block, 2 miles east of the access road at mile marker 172, and at the Brown Block at mile marker 192.

San Augustin Pass and the Las Cruces Gate will not be affected. However, Nike Avenue will be affected by the closure.

All roadblocks are subject to change without notice.
