Drivers should expect delays from Dec. 3 to Dec. 6 as crews rebuild a damaged bridge span

Organ Mountain News report

LORDSBURG - The westbound lanes of Interstate 10 at Exit 24 will close at noon Wednesday, Dec. 3, as crews begin repairing a bridge damaged earlier this year.

All westbound traffic will be routed off I-10 and back on using the exit and entrance ramps at Exit 24. The detour will remain in place through Saturday, Dec. 6. Drivers should expect delays and follow posted signs.

The bridge is being rebuilt after a March 7 crash in which a commercial vehicle hauling an excavator struck the structure. Deck placement is planned for late December, and the span is expected to reopen in early 2026.
