The city will select 12 original works for display along bus routes under the theme ‘More Than a Tumbleweed’

LAS CRUCES - The City of Las Cruces is seeking artists for the 2027 edition of Art Stop, a rotating public art program that places original artwork on bus shelters along city routes.

The Quality of Life Department’s Public Art program and the City Art Board will select 12 original works, one from each artist, for the exhibit.

The selected pieces will be printed and installed on bus shelters across the city, with displays in each City Council district.

The theme for Art Stop 2027 is “More Than a Tumbleweed.”

The call is open to artists living in Las Cruces, Doña Ana County and the surrounding area.

Applications are due by midnight Sept. 14.

Artists can find more information and submit work at LasCruces.gov/ArtStopCall.
