Las Cruces firefighters brought the fire under control within 13 minutes Thursday afternoon. No injuries were reported.

LAS CRUCES - Las Cruces firefighters extinguished a fire Thursday afternoon that damaged a mobile home on Calle Sosa.

Firefighters were called just before 3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18, to a report of a residential structure fire at Calle Sosa and Encino Avenue. The first unit arrived in the 1300 block of Calle Sosa and found a working fire coming from the attic space of a double-wide mobile home.

Crews entered the mobile home, searched the structure and attacked the fire. The fire was brought under control within 13 minutes of the first crew’s arrival.

No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
