LAS CRUCES - The Las Cruces City Council approved the sale of city-owned land Monday for a proposed $12.2 million warehouse development project at the Las Cruces Innovation and Industrial Park.

Council approved an ordinance authorizing the sale of about 15.3 acres to CLS Development Partners, LLC for $573,792 during its May 4 meeting.

According to the city, the proposed development includes about 150,000 square feet of speculative warehouse space intended to accommodate future tenants.

The project would be built at the Las Cruces Innovation and Industrial Park, a city-owned industrial development area on the West Mesa.

City Council approved the land sale as part of a group of real estate ordinances considered during Monday’s meeting.
