LAS CRUCES - Police have arrested a fourth suspect in connection with the March 21 shooting at Young Park that left three people dead and 15 others injured.

Las Cruces police arrested a 15-year-old boy around 12:20 p.m. Sunday and charged him with three open counts of murder. Two 17-year-old boys and 20-year-old Tomas Rivas were previously arrested and face the same charges. Additional charges are pending for all four suspects, according to police.

The three juveniles are being held in the juvenile section of the Doña Ana County Detention Center. Rivas is being held without bond on the adult side of the facility.

The shooting occurred just after 10 p.m. Friday during an "unsanctioned car show" at Young Park, 850 S. Walnut St. The three victims who died were identified as Andrew Madrid, 16; Jason Gomez, 18; and Dominick Estrada, 19. The other victims range in age from 16 to 36, police said.

Young Park and nearby roads remained closed throughout Saturday and into Sunday morning while law enforcement processed the scene. The area has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing and involves multiple agencies, including the Las Cruces Police Department, FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, New Mexico State Police, the Third Judicial District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
