Las Cruces Public Schools releases 2026 meet-and-greet, open house schedule
Las Cruces Public Schools has released meet-and-greet, schedule pickup and open house dates for every campus ahead of the 2026-27 school year.
Elementary, middle and high schools will welcome families before classes begin, with transition day set for July 24 and the first full day of school July 27.

LAS CRUCES - Las Cruces Public Schools is inviting students and families to meet teachers, visit classrooms and prepare for the 2026-27 school year during a series of campus meet-and-greets, schedule pickups and open houses.
Dates and times vary by school. Elementary and middle school meet-and-greets will give students and families an opportunity to meet teachers, explore classrooms, receive class schedules and learn more about the coming school year.
At the high school level, students will be able to pick up class schedules before the first day of classes. Centennial High School will also hold an orientation for incoming ninth-grade students.

Open houses will take place after the semester begins. Parents and guardians will be able to meet teachers, review classroom expectations and receive information about their children’s academic progress.
Transition Day for kindergarten, sixth-grade and ninth-grade students is Friday, July 24. The first day of school for all other grade levels is Monday, July 27.
Families should review the district’s elementary, middle and high school schedules for the specific dates and times at their campuses.
