Las Cruces teen summer program opens for free registration through May 23

The city’s free Teen Connection summer program runs June 3 to July 18 for students entering grades 6–12. Registration is open now on a first-come, first-served basis.

LAS CRUCES - Registration is now open for Teen Connection, the city’s free summer program for students entering grades 6 through 12.

The Parks and Recreation Department will accept applications through Friday, May 23, or until the program reaches capacity. Enrollment is first-come, first-served.

Teen Connection runs from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays between June 3 and July 18 at the Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave. There will be no programming on Wednesday, June 19 or Friday, July 4.

Registration is available online under the “Out-of-School Time” section at www.lascruces.gov/play. In-person registration is also available at the following locations:

  • A. Fielder Memorial Safe Haven, 906 N. Tornillo St., Monday–Friday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave., Monday–Friday, 3 to 6 p.m.
  • Parks and Recreation Administrative Office, 1501 E. Hadley Ave., Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Phone registration will not be accepted.
