Customers encouraged to use drop box, online or phone payments during Thursday morning closure

LAS CRUCES - The City of Las Cruces’ Cashiering Program will be closed to the public from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday, April 10 for staff training. Customers will not be able to make in-person payments during that time, but regular business hours will resume after noon.

City officials encourage utility customers to use one of several alternative payment options:

  • Drop box: Deposit payments after hours in the secure drop box located between City Hall and Thomas Branigan Memorial Library.
  • Pay by phone: Call 575-541-2111 and press 4 to make a payment 24 hours a day using an e-check, Visa, MasterCard or Discover card.
  • Pay online: Use UtilityHawk to make a payment or set up auto-draft for your utility bill.
  • Walmart: Pay with cash at any Walmart in Las Cruces. A $1 service fee applies.
  • One-time online payment: Visit PaymentUS to make a quick, one-time payment.
