Organ Mountain News report

LAS CRUCES - Registration for the City of Las Cruces youth indoor volleyball league will open April 13, with space available for participants ages 8 to 14.

The league, offered by the city’s Parks and Recreation Department, includes three age divisions open to all genders. League play is scheduled to begin the week of May 26.

Online registration opens at 9 a.m. Monday, April 13 and runs through April 25, or until capacity is reached. In-person registration begins April 20 at Meerscheidt Recreation Center and continues through April 25 at 2 p.m., or until divisions are full.

The cost is $50 for new participants, which includes a jersey, or $40 for returning players who do not need a jersey.

Participants must provide proof of age and grade at registration, along with a Parks and Recreation Activity ID card. Families who do not already have an ID card must obtain one in person at Meerscheidt Recreation Center prior to registering.

Team placement is determined by Parks and Recreation staff. Participants must play within their age division, and team change requests are not allowed. Siblings may be placed on the same team if they qualify for the same division and the request is approved during registration.

Registration is first come, first served.
