LAS CRUCES - Las Cruces Public Schools is seeking community volunteers to serve on a committee that will review survey data used to help develop the district’s proposed budget for the next fiscal year.

Applications for the Budget Survey Committee are due by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17.

The district will randomly select committee members during a livestreamed drawing at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18. Those selected are expected to be notified by 5 p.m. that day.

The committee will review responses collected through LCPS’s community budget survey. The findings will be presented to the district’s Finance Subcommittee in October, distributed to stakeholders in November and incorporated into LCPS budget town hall meetings.

The 16-member committee will include four LCPS parents, four administrators, four classified employees and four certified employees.

Committee members must attend three meetings at the Dr. Karen M. Trujillo Administration Complex, 505 S. Main St.:

• Monday, Aug. 31, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
