The Agriculture Building will feature New Mexico-made wines, craft beer, local products and interactive exhibits throughout the fair

ALBUQUERQUE - The Country Store and daily Reds, Whites and Brews Happy Hours will return to the New Mexico State Fair in 2026, bringing local food, drinks and agricultural exhibits to the Agriculture Building.

This year's State Fair runs from Sept. 10 through Sept. 2o at Expo New Mexico in Albuquerque.

The New Mexico Department of Agriculture is partnering with New Mexico Wine to host happy hours from 3 to 7 p.m. each day in the Agriculture Building courtyard.

The events will feature New Mexico-made wines along with beer from Downshift Brewing Company, Canteen Brewhouse, Quarter Celtic Brewpub and Steel Bender Brewyard.

“The Country Store and courtyard offer a one-of-a-kind space to celebrate local flavors and agricultural education,” New Mexico Secretary of Agriculture Jeff Witte said. “Come sip, shop and explore what makes New Mexico agriculture so special.”

The Country Store, presented in partnership with locally focused retailer What’s In Store, will feature New Mexico products, free samples, root beer floats and merchandise including T-shirts and hats.

It will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday throughout the fair.

The Agriculture Building’s south wing will also feature gameshow-style trivia and a new New Mexico wine display.
