LAS CRUCES - Organ Mountain News has launched a new community listening initiative aimed at better understanding the issues, concerns and experiences shaping life across southern New Mexico.

The survey invites residents across the region to share what issues affect their daily lives, what topics deserve more attention and what they believe local journalists and community leaders should better understand about southern New Mexico.

If the embedded survey does not load properly on your device, you can also complete it here: https://forms.gle/bG9PZDBcfrTqeuNu8.

The initiative, funded through a community listening grant from the Listening Post Collective, is designed to help inform future reporting, community conversations and broader public-interest journalism efforts, particularly among voices and communities that often go unheard.

Participation is voluntary, and respondents may complete the survey anonymously. Participants who would like to be contacted about future listening sessions or community conversations may optionally provide an email address at the end of the survey.

Organ Mountain News will also randomly select five survey participants to receive a $50 Amazon gift card. (Please note: In order to contact selected participants about the giveaway, respondents must voluntarily provide an email address at the end of the survey.)

The survey takes less than five minutes to complete on most devices.
