UPDATE, 10:45 a.m. — Triviz Drive has reopened and police activity in the area has concluded.

LAS CRUCES - New Mexico State University police are investigating a traffic collision Saturday morning that killed a 32-year-old man near Cholla Road and Triviz Drive.

Police said Triviz is closed in both directions and asked drivers to avoid the area while investigators document the scene. Officers said the closure and police activity may affect traffic for NMSU’s 1 p.m. football game against Middle Tennessee at Aggie Memorial Stadium.

Police said they will issue an update once the investigation is complete and traffic has returned to normal.
