LAS CRUCES - A music-themed fashion show benefiting Hearts for Autism is set to take place Saturday, April 11, at the Las Cruces Convention Center.

The event, titled Rock the Runway 2026, will combine fashion, music and community leadership to raise funds for autism advocacy and support services in southern New Mexico.

Created and produced by local advocate Jeffrey Silva, the event is inspired by his son, Zane, an adult on the autism spectrum. Silva said the show is intended to celebrate individuality while drawing attention to the needs of individuals and families affected by autism.

“All of this started with my son, Zane,” Silva said. “He taught me what true strength looks like. Rock the Runway is about celebrating individuals like him and making sure every person on the spectrum is seen, supported and valued.”

The evening will begin with a VIP social hour from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by the runway show starting at 7:30 p.m.

Models will include community leaders, advocates, business owners, first responders, educators and other local figures. Organizers said the lineup is designed to highlight community involvement and support for autism acceptance and services.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Hearts for Autism, which provides advocacy, resources and programming for individuals with autism and their families.

Details about sponsorship opportunities, ticket sales and model announcements are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
