Superintendent aims to help voters understand priorities and reassure taxpayers that measures won’t raise the current rate

Organ Mountain News report

LAS CRUCES - Las Cruces Public Schools Superintendent Ignacio Ruiz will host two community information sessions this month to explain priorities for the district’s upcoming school bond and mill levy election.

The sessions will help voters understand how the proposed measures would support student learning, maintain facilities and continue investments in safe, modern campuses — all without raising the current tax rate.

District officials said one key priority is launching the first phase of renovations at Mayfield High School, a project discussed last month during a meeting with parents and staff.

Their Future.” Below, it invites the public to join Superintendent Ignacio Ruiz for information sessions on Oct. 22 and Oct. 23, listing times, locations and livestream details, with a QR code for more information.
