ALBUQUERQUE - A statewide agriculture conference scheduled for June will connect aspiring and current producers with industry leaders and hands-on learning opportunities in New Mexico.

The AgriFuture Educational Institute is set for June 15-17 at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque. The event is hosted by the New Mexico Department of Agriculture in partnership with more than a dozen organizations.

Organizers say the conference will provide participants with access to industry professionals and practical insight into topics such as international livestock trade, agribusiness development, USDA program resources, financial management and agritourism.

The event will include interactive panels, breakout sessions and networking opportunities designed to give attendees a closer look at New Mexico’s agricultural industry.

New Mexico Secretary of Agriculture Jeff Witte said the conference aims to build connections and provide hands-on experiences for participants.

“We are excited to continue hosting AgriFuture in interactive, hands-on ways,” Witte said. “I encourage anyone interested in agriculture to attend and learn from industry experts. New Mexico agriculture has a bright future, and this is a great way to be part of it.”

Registration costs $75. Scholarships are available for veterans and students, with applications due April 15.

For information or to register, visit the AgriFuture page on the New Mexico Department of Agriculture website.
