LAS CRUCES - The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department will host a new series of free teen dances this summer, giving local youth a safe, supervised space to enjoy music and summer nights downtown.

Open to teens ages 13 to 17, each event runs from 7 to 11 p.m. at 302 S. Main Street — the venue formerly known as Amador Live. The schedule includes three Friday night dances:

  • June 20
  • July 18
  • August 1

Each event will feature a live DJ, dance floor and interactive entertainment. City staff and security will be onsite to maintain a safe environment. Admission is free, but space may be limited. Participants are encouraged to bring a student ID. No outside food or drinks will be allowed.
