LAS CRUCES - The City of Las Cruces is requesting feedback from residents to guide redevelopment efforts in the neighborhoods and corridors connecting Downtown Las Cruces and New Mexico State University.

The focus of the El Paseo Road and South Solano Drive Metropolitan Redevelopment Area project is to transform the area into a more pedestrian-friendly space while addressing goals related to sustainable development, infrastructure improvements and social equity.

City officials say the initiative includes plans to revitalize commercial and retail spaces, improve public infrastructure, preserve historic areas and prioritize public safety and environmental sustainability.

Residents are encouraged to participate in a five-minute survey to share their ideas on projects and programs they believe would have the most impact on the area. The survey is available in both English and Spanish and will remain open until Friday, Jan. 10, 2025.
