LAS CRUCES - Doña Ana Community College’s AVANZA program has opened a student success center at the East Mesa Campus, offering a range of resources aimed at supporting students throughout their academic journey.

Located inside the Student Resources Building at 2800 Sonoma Ranch Blvd., the AVANZA Student Success Center provides spaces and services designed to address students’ basic needs, academic goals and professional development. The center features a food pantry, a career closet, wellness resources and study areas. AVANZA staff will also be available to provide one-on-one support.

DACC serves a diverse student population, including recent high school graduates, adult learners, first-generation college students and those balancing education with work and family responsibilities. The AVANZA program aims to support these students by providing resources that enhance their college experience and help them navigate academic and career pathways.

Available resources include:

  • Micro Comfort Casita: A food pantry offering free, nonperishable items to students experiencing food insecurity
  • Leisure Lounge: A space for students to relax and build connections with peers
  • Wellness and Relaxation Room: Features a massage chair and quiet space for students seeking stress relief
  • Micro Career Closet: Provides professional attire for students preparing for job interviews, internships and other career opportunities
  • Study Area: Equipped with computers and workspace for students needing a dedicated study environment
  • Office Suites: Spaces for AVANZA staff to provide individualized student support and guidance

The AVANZA program focuses on empowering students by offering resources that promote academic success, personal well-being and career readiness.
