Tickets are available through July 6 to support students attending the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography conference in Atlanta.

LAS CRUCES - Students in Doña Ana Community College’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography program are selling raffle tickets to raise money for an upcoming conference.

The students are fundraising to attend the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography conference in September in Atlanta.

Raffle prizes include a Lifetime 10-foot kayak with a waterproof bag, a backpack cooler with Stanley water bottles, a tanning pool with a beach towel and additional prizes, including auto cleanings.

Tickets are $5 each, $20 for five tickets or $50 for 20 tickets. They can be purchased from any DACC sonography student or instructor at the Espina Campus, 3400 S. Espina St., in the Health and Public Services Building, also known as DAHL, Room 190.

Tickets can be purchased Thursday, July 2, or by 2 p.m. Monday, July 6. The drawing will be held Monday, July 6, and winners will be contacted personally.

The SDMS conference is for sonographers, sonography students and physicians who use sonography in their practice setting. Attendees can earn SDMS continuing medical education credits while learning about new sonographic techniques, diagnostic accuracy, enhancements of sonographic instrumentation and practice management strategies.
