The Teen Potters’ Wheel class for ages 12 to 18 will run July 13-17 at the DACC Workforce Center, with afternoon and evening sessions available.

LAS CRUCES - Registration is open for teen pottery classes at Doña Ana Community College.

The Teen Potters’ Wheel class is open to teens ages 12 to 18 and will be held July 13-17 at the DACC Workforce Center, 2345 Nevada Ave., in room 127.

The class costs $85. Two sessions are available: 2 to 4 p.m. or 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The class will focus on the basics of throwing on the wheel before moving into more advanced techniques. Participants may be able to create mugs, covered containers, vases and other pieces.

Students must wear closed-toe shoes, bring an apron and towel and wear clothes that can get dirty. The studio will provide tools, clay and glazes.

Parents must sign a release.
