LAS CRUCES - Doña Ana Community College is offering two advanced photography workshops this fall, giving students the chance to learn from award-winning documentary and editorial photographer Paul Ratje.

Ratje, whose work appears in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and Reuters, is teaching both workshops as credit courses through DACC’s Creative Media Technology program.

The first workshop, a crash course in Adobe Lightroom, began Oct. 15 and runs through Nov. 7. It focuses on importing, editing, processing and exporting images in Lightroom Classic.

The second, in environmental portraiture, runs Nov. 1 through Dec. 12. It explores techniques for creating expressive portraits that tell authentic stories suitable for publication.

Students must be enrolled at DACC to take either course. Enrollment is available through the New Mexico State University admissions portal. For more information, contact the Creative Media Technology program at 575-528-7310.
