LAS CRUCES - FYI+ is recruiting AmeriCorps members for a new service term beginning Sept. 1.
Members will support community and organizational needs through direct service and capacity-building activities, according to FYI+.
Benefits include a biweekly living allowance during the term of service, a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award, forbearance, professional development and opportunities to gain skills, experience and professional connections.
Members also will receive CPR and first-aid certification along with emotional and trauma-informed coaching. The program includes opportunities to work in an educational setting.
Applicants must be at least 17 years old and be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

They also must have a high school diploma or GED, or be working toward a certificate, and must pass a criminal history check.
