LAS CRUCES - Indivisible Las Cruces plans to hold a rally March 28 at Albert Johnson Park in downtown Las Cruces.

The event, titled “No Kings 3,” is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon at the park at Main Street and Picacho Avenue.

Organizers say the gathering is part of a series of demonstrations taking place in communities across the country. Participants are expected to discuss issues including healthcare costs, food prices and housing affordability, as well as concerns about public policy and civil liberties.

Indivisible Las Cruces said previous events in the series have drawn participants from across the community.

Organizers say the rally will emphasize nonviolent participation and expect attendees to act lawfully and respect differing viewpoints. Weapons will not be allowed at the event.

Community members are invited to attend and bring signs.
