The City of Las Cruces has named Josie Treviño as assistant director of finance after more than 17 years of accounting experience.

Treviño has worked for the city since 2012 and most recently served as comptroller.

LAS CRUCES - The City of Las Cruces has named Josie Treviño as its new assistant director of finance.

Treviño has more than 17 years of accounting experience, including 14 years in governmental accounting, according to the city.

She has worked for Las Cruces since 2012, serving in several municipal finance roles, including accounting technician, accountant, financial reporting analyst, budget analyst, senior accountant, accounting manager and comptroller.

City officials said Treviño is committed to serving the community with integrity, accountability and dedication to public service.

Treviño is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso. Outside her professional work, the city said she values time with her family and can often be found at local softball fields.
