LAS CRUCES - Las Cruces police have identified the woman killed in a rollover crash last week as 24-year-old Sheila Nava.

The crash happened around 3:20 p.m. on Feb. 13 at the intersection of Griggs Avenue and Hermosa Street. Investigators said Nava was driving a gold Chevrolet Trailblazer south on Hermosa when it was struck on the side by a Chevrolet Impala traveling west on Griggs.

Police believe the Trailblazer ran a stop sign before the collision. Nava was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected as the vehicle rolled over at least once, according to investigators. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Impala, a 22-year-old woman, was not seriously injured.

Police said no charges or citations are expected in connection with the crash.
