Missing Las Cruces man last seen in El Paso

Las Cruces police continue to search for 68-year-old Arthur J. Crothers, who was last seen in downtown El Paso on Nov. 25 after leaving a group home.

LAS CRUCES - Police continue to ask for the public’s help locating a 68-year-old Las Cruces man who was last known to be in downtown El Paso late last month.

Arthur J. Crothers was discharged on Nov. 24 from a healthcare facility in Santa Teresa and transported to a group home on the 2700 block of Fillmore Avenue in El Paso, according to Las Cruces police.

The following day, Nov. 25, Crothers left the group home in a taxi and later contacted family members from downtown El Paso to request a ride back to Las Cruces. When a relative arrived at the agreed-upon meeting location, Crothers was no longer there.

Family members reported Crothers missing to Las Cruces police on Dec. 9.

Crothers stands 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He has gray, salt-and-pepper hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and gray cargo pants and uses a cane to assist with walking.

Anyone with information about Crothers’ whereabouts is urged to contact local law enforcement immediately or call Las Cruces police at 575-526-0750.
