LAS CRUCES - A fire early Sunday morning damaged a mobile home on Three Crosses Avenue, displacing three residents and causing a temporary power outage to nearby homes, officials said.
Las Cruces firefighters responded at about 12:50 a.m. Sunday to a structure fire in the 200 block of Three Crosses Avenue. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the mobile home, according to a news release.
Firefighters contained the fire within 30 minutes, preventing it from spreading to other mobile homes. No injuries were reported.

Heat and flames damaged a neighboring mobile home and power lines, leading to an electrical outage for nearby homes. El Paso Electric crews responded and worked through the night to restore power.
The Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced residents with temporary housing.
The mobile home sustained significant fire and smoke damage. The cause of the fire and an estimate of damages remain under investigation.
