NMSU welcomes students back with Crimson Kickoff events
New Mexico State University will welcome students back with Crimson Kickoff, a series of events from Aug. 15-30 including move-in, athletic matchups, concerts, block parties and the First-Year Walk.

NMSU kicks off the fall semester with a month of campus events, traditions and social activities for new and returning Aggies.

LAS CRUCES - New Mexico State University will welcome students back to campus with Crimson Kickoff events leading up to the start of the fall semester. The first day of classes will be Wednesday, Aug. 20.
Crimson Kickoff, NMSU’s annual welcome week, will feature activities to help students connect with campus life, meet peers and celebrate the start of a new academic year. Events include residence hall move-in, athletic matchups, social gatherings and the first-year walk tradition.
Friday, Aug. 15
Move-in weekend starts, according to each student’s assigned timeslot and residence hall
Saturday, Aug. 16
- Aggie volleyball: Crimson and White Scrimmage from 1 to 2 p.m. at Pan American Center
- Move-in movie night from 8 to 10:30 p.m. at Corbett Center Outdoor Stage
Sunday, Aug. 17
- Crimson Quest: Move-in Event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Aggie Forest/Outdoor Stage
- Welcome Back BBQ from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Taos Dining Hall
- Crimson Kickoff: Aggie Beginnings, Convocation, First-Year Photo and First-Year Walk from 4:30 to 7 p.m. starting at Pan American Center
- Hall-a-palooza from 9 p.m. to midnight at grass lot between Rhodes-Garrett-Hamiel and Juniper Hall

- Crimson Kickoff: Aggie Fiesta Block Party from 7 to 10 p.m. at NMSU Bookstore
