One man killed, three injured in late-night shooting at Las Cruces house party

Las Cruces police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and three people injured during a house party late Saturday on Bugatti Drive. Detectives are seeking cellphone video from attendees.

LAS CRUCES - Las Cruces police are investigating a shooting that left a 21-year-old man dead and three others injured during a house party late Saturday on the 2400 block of Bugatti Drive.

Officers were dispatched at 11:46 p.m. after callers reported multiple gunshots at a large gathering. Police found the man with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Three additional victims were taken to local hospitals. Police have not released their conditions.

Detectives said several people at the party were seen recording the incident on their cell phones. Investigators believe those videos could help identify suspects and determine what led to the shooting.

Police are asking anyone who recorded video or has information about the incident to contact investigators. Videos can be uploaded online. Tips can also be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers of Las Cruces and Doña Ana County at 1-800-222-8477.
