Global Game Jam Showcase and Game Development Meetup set for 6-8 p.m. at Cholla Hall

LAS CRUCES - Doña Ana Community College will showcase video games created by students during a 48-hour Global Game Jam event.

DACC will host a Global Game Jam Showcase and Game Development Meetup from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at Cholla Hall, 2400 Film St.

The college said several DACC students participated in the Global Game Jam the weekend of Jan. 30, an international event that challenges teams to create a video game in 48 hours after organizers release a theme.

The March 5 showcase is open to DACC students, faculty, staff and members of the public.

DACC also encouraged community members to learn more about its Game Development degree through its Creative Media Technology program webpage.
